But as our community has grown, we have shared one observation: <\/p>\n<p><em>We need to evolve the way we operate as an organisation to reflect the values we promote.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Until now, a small group of volunteer Board members\u2014the Administrative Body (AB)\u2014managed most aspects of EMCC Belgium. Despite significant progress, the work has become increasingly complex. And with limited resources, we have reached our limits\u2014in terms of time, capacity, and collective creativity.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_heading_3 et_pb_heading et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-heading--md7ihk4byc\"><div class=\"et_pb_heading_container\"><h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">What we are building: A system based on collective intelligence<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_1 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>We have decided to adopt a <strong>collective intelligence model.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What does this mean? Instead of centralising all decisions and actions within the AB, we are now distributing leadership, responsibility and innovation among all our members. We invite <strong><em>you<\/em><\/strong>, our members, to become more involved through a new Circle-based structure.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_heading_4 et_pb_heading et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-heading--md7ihk4byc\"><div class=\"et_pb_heading_container\"><h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">What are Circles?<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_2 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>Circles are small teams, driven by a specific purpose, that focus on an area of activity or EMCC Belgium\u2019s mission. Each Circle has a clear mandate, autonomy within its area, and a direct link to the AB. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_heading_5 et_pb_heading et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-heading--md7ihk4byc\"><div class=\"et_pb_heading_container\"><h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">The Circles we have created<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_3 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module preset--module--divi-text--v4kbckbvgb\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>Each Circle is supported by a double-link system:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A first link (from the AB)<\/li>\n<li>A second link (a volunteer member currently being recruited)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here are the Circles we have launched and their current AB first links:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Circle<\/td>\n<td>What is this Circle about?<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Membership<\/td>\n<td>Welcome new members, strengthen the community, and support their onboarding.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Communication<\/td>\n<td>This Circle aims to keep members informed, inspired and connected through newsletters, website updates, an events calendar, and sharing opportunities offered by EMCC Global. Its goal is to make EMCC Belgium a dynamic and enriching community.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Accreditation<\/td>\n<td>Support members on their accreditation journey and build links with EMCC Global.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Events<\/td>\n<td>Organise high-quality, relevant events across Belgium, in Dutch, English and French.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Collective intelligence<\/td>\n<td>Ensure our organisation understands and applies participatory governance and collective wisdom in how we operate and develop, and therefore that the Circles function smoothly and autonomously.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Solidarity Coaching<\/td>\n<td>Provide support to those who need it most through social-impact initiatives.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Visibility (Outreach)<\/td>\n<td>Strengthen EMCC Belgium\u2019s presence with institutions, partners and the public.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>IT and digital<\/td>\n<td>Manage the behind-the-scenes technology\u2014tools, platforms and members\u2019 digital experience.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Supervision<\/td>\n<td>Create spaces for supervisors to connect, learn and jointly advance their practice, and raise awareness of the importance of supervision and how to become a supervisor.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><em><span>\ud83d\udccc <\/span>Second links are currently being identified. If you would like to volunteer for one of these roles, please see the information below! <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_heading_6 et_pb_heading et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-heading--md7ihk4byc\"><div class=\"et_pb_heading_container\"><h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">How the double-link system works<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_4 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p><strong>Each Circle has:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_heading_7 et_pb_heading et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-heading--md7ihk4byc\"><div class=\"et_pb_heading_container\"><h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">\ud83d\udc63 A first link<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_5 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>A current AB member who represents the organisation within the Circle. This person helps define the agenda and initial priorities, and serves as the point of contact with the AB. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_heading_8 et_pb_heading et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-heading--md7ihk4byc\"><div class=\"et_pb_heading_container\"><h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">\ud83d\udc65 A second link<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_6 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module preset--module--divi-text--v4kbckbvgb\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>A volunteer member (not part of the AB) who takes the <strong>operational leadership <\/strong>of the Circle\u2014organising meetings, recruiting members and driving actions forward.<\/p>\n<p>This double-link model ensures two-way communication:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>AB stays in touch <\/strong>with what is happening in each Circle<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Circle stays connected <\/strong>to EMCC Belgium\u2019s overall vision and priorities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>\ud83e\udded <\/span>Think of it like a relay: one foot in the AB, one foot in the Circle\u2014so that energy flows in both directions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_heading_9 et_pb_heading et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-heading--md7ihk4byc\"><div class=\"et_pb_heading_container\"><h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">A real-life example<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_7 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p><strong>Let us take the example of the Accreditation Circle:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>First link<\/strong>: Julie Vander Meulen (Treasurer, AB Member)\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Second link<\/strong>: Daniela Terrile (Volunteer member)\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Together, they define the Circle\u2019s mission. Daniela then takes the initiative to build the team, organise meetings and launch the work, while Julie ensures the Circle is aligned with the overall structure and provides coordination support. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_heading_10 et_pb_heading et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-heading--md7ihk4byc\"><div class=\"et_pb_heading_container\"><h2 class=\"et_pb_module_header\">What\u2019s next?<\/h2><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_8 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>We are moving forward with determination, transparency and co-creation.
