Choosing a coach is an important decision. Whether you are a senior executive, HR manager, professional in transition or private individual seeking meaning, you deserve to work with a practitioner whose rigour, ethics and competence have been recognised by their peers.

EMCC Belgium's directory does not list every coach in Belgium. It lists only the coaches who are members of our federation — those who have chosen professionalisation and who voluntarily adhere to a demanding framework.

Every coach listed in this directory meets the following criteria:

• An initial coach training programme that has been validated by a recognised organisation.
• Explicit adherence to the Global Code of Ethicsl of EMCC.
• Regular supervision, as a condition for maintaining membership.
• Continuous reflective practice within the Members' Circle.
• Continuous professional development (training, intervision, conferences).

In concrete terms, what does this guarantee for you? It means that the professional you choose is not alone in their practice: they are part of a community of peers that challenges them, inspires them and guarantees the seriousness of their work.

• Listening matters more than a title — Make an initial contact (often free of charge). Do you feel at ease?
• Check the accreditation level if relevant — EIA, ESIA, ITCA: these labels indicate experience and specialisation.
• Ask the right questions — About supervision, ethics, confidentiality and the contractual framework.
• Distinguish your needs — Individual coaching, supervision, team coaching: the approaches differ.

Important reminder: A non-accredited coach who is a member of EMCC Belgium is still a serious coach. Accreditation is an added value, not a strict prerequisite. What matters most: being listed in this directory already demonstrates a strong professional commitment.
