Our Mission

EMCC Belgium is based on 3 objectives:

  • Recognition of the coaching profession at a European level
The coaching profession is expanding and increasingly demands quality, strong technical and relational skills, ethics, and professionalism.
  • Building a network of coaches
Building a network of coaches and fostering the sharing and exchange of knowledge and experiences among all members from diverse professional backgrounds (human resources, training, coaching, therapy).
  • Social responsibility
Social responsibility, which includes solidarity. Coaching should not be a service reserved for a minority of individuals and associations. The "Solidarity Coaching" initiative, implemented and developed with volunteer coaches, is offered to associations lacking financial resources.

Why associate with EMCC?

EMCC Belgium has its origins in the European Coaching Association Belgium, founded in 2007 as a professional association for coaches in Belgium.

By associating with EMCC in 2008, we joined a European dynamic represented at the time in over 18 countries, including England, the Netherlands, France, Denmark, Sweden, and Germany. We thus contributed to giving coaching a true European identity, with an approach specifically rooted in European values, diversity, and professional standards.

Since then, EMCC has continued its development far beyond Europe. Now an international organization, EMCC Global brings together coaching, mentoring, and supervision professionals worldwide, while continuing to promote high standards of quality, ethics, and professionalization.

EMCC's objectives:

To promote best practices in coaching in Europe, and to advocate for the profession with European authorities.

The principles guiding EMCC are:

  • EMCC is an inclusive organization and addresses all audiences interested in promoting the quality and development of coaching and mentoring
  • EMCC is an international organization, stemming from a pan-European dynamic, which brings together coaching, mentoring, and supervision stakeholders around common standards of quality and ethics.
  • EMCC is a non-profit, neutral, and independent organization
  • EMCC aims to bring together any individual or organization:
    - Offering coaching or mentoring services (including training and supervision)
    - Involved in research in the fields of coaching and mentoring
    - Likely to purchase coaching or mentoring
    - EMCC promotes the adoption of quality standards
